Aloha! Even more driving around for this busy surfer. I drove down to DC to hang out with some friends and watch the fireworks on the Mall. Most of the festivities were down because of the rain. Also, due to the rain, the concert wasn't set up 100% yet. Basically, they were going to play for everybody on the Mall, but unfortunately they didn't get everything hooked up in time, so they started to play despite nobody could hear them unless you were sitting nearby. However, they still shot a canon during certain parts of the anthem. Nobody could hear the music, but everybody heard the loud canon randomly going off. The best part about this though, is that many of the people sitting near us thought it was an attack or something, and were deciding to panic or not. I can't say for the rest of the Mall, but that seemed to be the general concensus all around, until we all realized that the band was still playing. Just goes to show how paranoid people can get.
