What a crazy day. First the whole deal in London, with the bombings; then I-95 gets a chunk blown out of it, causing Kid's 2 hour trip back to be a 7 hour one; then the storm gutters came lose during the hurricane, causing water to leak into our apartment and the two above us. Apartments 2 and 3 got off lucky with only a few leaks and some minor ceiling damage, but we caught at least 10 gallons of water, not counting the water absorbed into our carpet. Like a waterfall it was, but brown. Yuck. I was working on putting up a Fantastic Four comic today, but Kid and I were too busy setting out pots, pans, trash cans and hampers to stop the leaks. But I think that today's comic is more appropriate, because the confused look on Dash's face is how I feel right now. ~Kilika ~Kilika |
